What’s included in the base price of a KB home?
While prices vary in different communities and locations, every new KB home is designed with open living spaces, thoughtful details and lots of desirable features — all at no extra cost. Enjoy modern floor plans with large primary bedrooms, great rooms, and indoor/outdoor living areas that maximize your space. Extra storage and generous kitchen countertops are also included.
While the base price provides a solid foundation, you also have the ability to personalize your new home at a price that fits your budget. However, items such as Design Studio upgrades, and closing or financing costs are not included in the base price. Your sales counselor will walk you through everything, so you understand what’s included, and what’s not, every step of the way.
What does the base price of a KB Home include?

What can I expect to pay if I upgrade?
No one can really know ahead of time what the cost will be if you decide to upgrade your new home with items that aren't standard. The Design Studio has so many choices, you might find a light fixture or tile pattern you can’t live without. Keep in mind that our design consultants are your partner in this fun creative process, to help and support you every step of the way.
Do I always pay more to personalize my new home?
One of the best things about building with us is that personalizing does not necessarily mean paying more. You'll have the opportunity to explore the KB Home Design Studio, which has an amazing array of no-cost options, so you can choose the flooring, countertops and cabinets you love (and lots of other features!), at no extra charge.
Are energy-efficient features included?
Yes. Our homes are designed to be ENERGY STAR® certified for greater comfort and savings — with high-quality heating and cooling systems, high-efficiency windows and insulation, plus enhanced air sealing.
An ENERGY STAR certified home also means a healthier indoor air environment for your well-being. For instance, our new homes have standard door hardware that comes with antimicrobial product protection to help reduce the spread of germs, and high-performance ventilation systems. We also use environmentally conscious products for flooring, tile, paint, and cabinetry.
What’s not included in the base price?
Optional upgrades, Design Studio selections, structural options, and closing or financing-related costs are not included.
