Welcome to San Jose

Naturally, you'll find the Tech Museum of Innovation located here, but this isn't just a city for left-brainers. You can also explore nature with the San Jose Municipal Rose Garden, and delve into creativity with the San Jose Museum of Art. The Communications Hill urban neighborhood is located here and it's home to residential and commercial property, as well as gorgeous public parks, open space, and trails. Additional landmarks in this thriving city include:

  • The Winchester Mystery House. Allegedly compelled by the spirits of people felled by Winchester guns, Sarah Winchester compulsively built bizarre additions to her two-story farmhouse. The structure ballooned into a 160-room mansion and visitors can now tour 110 of those rooms and witness such oddities as a window built into the floor, stairs that climb toward the ceiling, and doors that open into walls.
  • The Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum and Planetarium. This museum is home to the largest collection of Egyptian artifacts in the western United States, including four human mummies, a recreation of a burial chamber, and a daily life gallery that celebrates Ancient Egypt. In the planetarium, you can travel through space with three films that explore the stars.
