For instance, before construction even starts, we evaluate different factors that can impact the build, such as making sure that specific materials are suitable for a community's location and climate. Additionally, our new homes undergo a comprehensive process of reviews and assessments to ensure that construction meets our standards — and that includes our 10 quality checkpoints from foundation and framing to drywall.
Does KB Home use outside experts to confirm construction quality?
KB Home partners with IBACOS®, a nationally recognized expert in home construction quality to conduct a rigorous annual evaluation of our construction operations and performance. IBACOS extensively assesses our construction processes, with numerous checkpoints related to safety and durability.
Who oversees the construction of a KB Home?
Your KB Home construction superintendent oversees the entire process from one step to the next, and we don’t move to the next step until the current one has been completed to our satisfaction.
Is there an inspection before sign-off?
Before your Homeowner Orientation, the entire community team assesses your new home to ensure that it’s 100% complete. You’ll also inspect your home along with the team to sign off and close only when everyone is happy.
Who should I contact if I have questions during or after construction?
During construction, your KB Home team is available to help answer questions via phone, email or the KB Home App. After move‑in, homeowners can reach out to KB Home’s customer care team for warranty‑related needs or support.
