Communications Hill - San Jose, CA Update

As part of KB Home’s ongoing partnership with the City of San Jose, data from the ten on site air monitors recorded seven exceedance of the Bay Area Air Quality Management District guidelines during the week of October 26, 2020.

October 26: There was an exceedance noted on P9, which was due to offsite contractors working upwind, this work was not related to KB Home.
October 27: There was an exceedance noted on P5, which was due to offsite contractors working upwind, thus work was not related to KB Home. Additionally no monitoring took place on P8 on this date as equipment was stolen.
October 26, 27, 28, 29, 30: There were exceedances noted on P10 in the new phase. Water usage was increased in all occasions but due to several days of exceedances work was shut down in the area. Work will not resume until multiple days of no exceedance has occurred, additionally KB Home is reviewing all ADMP protocols with sub-contractors to ensure compliance. Additional ground fabric and screening is also being installed upwind of the monitor to enhance current ADMP protocols.
