Communications Hill - San Jose, CA Update

As part of KB Home’s ongoing partnership with the City of San Jose, data from the ten on site air monitors recorded seven exceedance of the Bay Area Air Quality Management District guidelines during the week of October 12, 2020.
October 12: There was an exceedance noted on P4, which was the result of high heat with dry conditions and material being dropped on dry soil. Work was stopped and corrections were made to increase water usage.
October 13: There was an exceedance noted on P7, which was the result of high heat with dry conditions and material being dropped on dry soil. Work was stopped and corrections were made to increase water usage.
October 14, 15, 16: There was an exceedances noted on P9 and P10 in the new phase. This was due to dry and windy conditions the later part of the week. Additional dust control measures including fabric and rock are planned to address exposed soils in the areas of P9 and P10.
