Communications Hill - San Jose, CA Update

As part of our daily testing with the City of San Jose, data from two onsite air monitors showed isolated exceedances of the Bay Area Air Quality Management District (BAAQMD) guidelines. These exceedances were minor and the causes for them that were within our control were swiftly corrected. Since that time fiber count levels have returned below the BAAQMD guidelines and have stayed in the acceptable range.

September 23: P4 Minor exceedance due to foundation subcontractor not using enough water.
Action taken: used more water and fiber count levels dropped below BAAQMD guidelines.

September 25: P4 Minor exceedance due to HOA landscape crew using blowers to clear area.
Action taken: requested HOA not use blowers and fiber count levels dropped below BAAQMD guidelines.

September 25: P5 Minor exceedance due to Cal Trans crew doing fence work.
This was a one off occurrence and fiber count levels have since dropped below BAAQMD guidelines.
