As part of KB Home’s ongoing partnership with the City of San Jose, data from the eleven on site air monitors recorded five exceedances of the Bay Area Air District guidelines during the week of October 19, 2026.

 

October 19: Exceedances occurred at stations 7, 8 and 9, likely due to grading activities near stations 8 and 9 and trenching activities upwind of station 7. Contractors were made aware of the exceedances and water efforts with additives were increased over the earthwork activities.

 

October 20: Exceedances occurred at stations 7 and 11, likely due to grading operations near stations 11 and trenching activities upwind of station 7. Contractors were made aware of the exceedances and water efforts with additives were increased over the earthwork activities and the speed limits were enforced.
