As part of KB Home’s ongoing partnership with the City of San Jose, data from the eleven on site air monitors recorded twelve exceedances of the Bay Area Air District guidelines during the week of October 12, 2026.
October 12: Exceedances occurred at stations 7 and 11, likely due to grading operations near these stations and trenching activities upwind of station 7. Contractors were made aware of the exceedances and water efforts with additives were increased on earthwork activities and speed limits were strictly enforced.
October 13: Exceedances occurred at stations 7 and 11, likely due to grading operations near stations, trenching activities upwind of station 7 and high temperatures. Contractors were made aware of the exceedances and water efforts with additives were increased on earthwork activities and speed limits were strictly enforced.
October 14: Exceedances occurred at station 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11, likely due to high temperatures and trenching activities near the stations. Base rock in the new parking area between 7 and 8 was also being installed. Contractors were made aware of the exceedance and water efforts were increased and slower work practices were implemented.
October 15: Exceedances occurred at station 7, 8 and 11, likely due to high temperatures and completion of the base rock install in the new parking area. Contractors were made aware of the exceedances and water efforts were increased on earthwork activities and speed limits were strictly enforced.
