As part of KB Home’s ongoing partnership with the City of San Jose, data from the eleven on site air monitors recorded nine exceedances of the Bay Area Air District guidelines during the week of September 21, 2026.
September 21: Exceedances occurred at stations 7 and 8, likely due to traffic in and out of the site as well as grading operations near the stations. Contractors were made aware of the exceedances and water efforts were increased at the entrance. The new gravel is expected to be finished near station 7 on October 1st.
September 22: An exceedance occurred at station 11, likely due to grading activities near the station. Contractors were made aware of the exceedance and water efforts were increased on the earthwork activates near the station.
September 23: An exceedance occurred at station 10, likely due to grading activities near the station. Contractors were made aware of the exceedance and water efforts were increased near the station.
September 24: Exceedances occurred at stations 4 and 11, likely due to trenching and grading operations that occurred near and upwind these stations. Contractors were made aware of the exceedance and an additional two water trucks were added to the area and slower work practices were implemented.
September 25: Exceedances occurred at stations 6, 7 and 8, likely due to trenching and grading operations that occurred near and upwind these stations as well as traffic in and out of the site. Contractors were made aware of the exceedance, and an additional three water trucks were added to area as well as slower work practices and enforced speed limits implemented.
