As part of KB Home’s ongoing partnership with the City of San Jose, data from the eleven on site air monitors recorded six exceedances of the Bay Area Air District guidelines during the week of August 24, 2026.
August 24: An exceedance occurred at station 11, likely due to grading activities near the station. Contractors were made aware of the exceedance and watering efforts were increased near this station.
August 25: An exceedance occurred at station 8, likely due to a dust impacted privacy fence fabric near the station. Contractors were made aware of the exceedance, and the impacted privacy fencing was removed.
August 26: An exceedance occurred at station 7, likely due to excavation activities upwind of the station. Contractors were made aware of the exceedance and watering efforts were increased for excavation activities.
August 27: Exceedances occurred at station 10 and 11, likely due to grading activities near the stations. Contractors were made aware of the exceedance, and two additional water trucks were added and slower work practices were implemented.
August 28: An exceedance occurred at station 11, likely due to grading activities near the station. Contractors were made aware of the exceedance, and a third additional water truck was added to the area’s grading activities.
