As part of KB Home’s ongoing partnership with the City of San Jose, data from the eleven on site air monitors recorded nine exceedances of the Bay Area Air Quality Management District guidelines during the week of July 27, 2026.
July 27: Exceedances occurred at station 8 and 11, likely due to grading activities upwind and traffic near the stations. Contractors were made aware of the exceedances and slower work practices and water applications were increased throughout the site.
July 28: Exceedances occurred at station 1, 8 and 11, likely due to elevated wind and grading activities upwind and near of the stations. Contractors were made aware of the exceedance and work was suspended in these areas to allow for increased water application.
July 29: An exceedance occurred at station 5, likely due to excavating activities near of the station. Contractors were made aware of the exceedance and water applications were increased throughout the site.
July 30: Exceedances occurred at station 8, 10 and 11, likely due to grading and traffic activities upwind and near of the stations. Contractors were made aware of the exceedances and slower work practices were implemented and the number of water trucks were added to the activities near the stations.
