As part of KB Home’s ongoing partnership with the City of San Jose, data from the eleven on site air monitors recorded five exceedances of the Bay Area Air Quality Management District guidelines during the week of June 15, 2026.

 

June 15: An exceedance occurred at station 10, likely due to grading operations that occurred upwind of and near this station. Contractors were made aware of the exceedance and work practices were adjusted, which included increased watering throughout the site and around the work area.

 

June 19: Exceedances occurred at stations 3, 8, 10 and 11, likely due to elevated winds over hillsides after work hours as well as grading and trenching activities near and upwind of the stations. Contractors were made aware of the exceedances, and four additional water trucks were added to provide additional coverage for these areas.
