As part of KB Home’s ongoing partnership with the City of San Jose, data from the eleven on site air monitors recorded eight exceedances of the Bay Area Air Quality Management District guidelines during the week of May 11, 2026.

 

May 13: Exceedances occurred at station 4, 6 ,8 and 10, likely due to trenching and grading operations that occurred near these stations. Contractors were made aware of the exceedance and slower work practices were implemented and water efforts were increased throughout the site.

 

May 14: Exceedances occurred at station 4, 6 and 10, likely due to trenching and grading operations that occurred near these stations. Contractors were made aware of the exceedance and additional water trucks containing dust suppression soap were added.

 

May 15: An exceedance occurred at station 10 likely, due to grading operations that occurred upwind of and near this station. Contractors were made aware of the exceedance and slower work practices were implemented along with adding a dedicated water truck for the area around this station.
