As part of KB Home’s ongoing partnership with the City of San Jose, data from the eleven on site air monitors recorded seven exceedances of the Bay Area Air Quality Management District guidelines during the week of March 23, 2026.
March 23: Exceedances occurred at station 3, 4, 8 and 10, likely due to grading activities near and upwind of these stations. Contractors were made aware of the exceedances and slower work practices, and more frequent watering was initiated.
March 24: Exceedances occurred at station 10 and 11, likely due to grading activities upwind of the stations. Contractors were made aware of the exceedances, and slower work practices, and more frequent watering was initiated.
March 26: An exceedance occurred at station 5, likely due to grading and excavation operations occurred upwind of and near this station. Contractors were made aware of the exceedances and slower work practices, and more frequent watering was initiated.
