As part of KB Home’s ongoing partnership with the City of San Jose, data from the eleven on site air monitors recorded six exceedances of the Bay Area Air Quality Management District guidelines during the week of March 2, 2026.
March 3: An exceedance occurred at station 5, likely due to grading activities near and upwind of the station. Contractors were made aware of the exceedance and watering efforts were increased.
March 4: An exceedance occurred at station 5, likely due to high winds over disturbed hillsides and grading activities near the station. Contractors were made aware of the exceedance and watering efforts were increased.
March 5: An exceedance occurred at station 5, likely due to high winds over disturbed hillsides and grading activities near the station. Contractors were made aware of the exceedance, and an additional water truck was added.
March 6: Exceedances occurred at station 4, 5 and 7, likely due to high winds over disturbed hillsides and grading activities near station 4 and upwind of stations 5 and 7. Contractors were made aware of the exceedances, and two additional water trucks were added. Fabric is scheduled to be installed over disturbed soils near stations 4 and 5 the week of March 16, 2026.
