Communications Hill - San Jose, CA Update

As part of KB Home’s ongoing partnership with the City of San Jose, data from the thirteen on site air monitors recorded three exceedances of the Bay Area Air Quality Management District guidelines during the week of October 21, 2024. 


October 22: An exceedance occurred at station 4 likely due to vehicular traffic on Altino Road. KB Home contractors were not working in the vicinity or upwind of this station.  Altino Road has been added to the daily street sweeping route and additional water and hydro mulch were also added to the adjacent inactive work area.


October 23: An exceedance occurred at station 12 due to traffic and grading activities. KB Home contractors were in process of adding rock cover and hydro mulch to this area. Additional water was also added. 


October 24: An exceedance occurred at stations 12 due to traffic and grading activities. KB Home contractors were working in the vicinity and upwind of this station. Additional water was added throughout the site and around grading operations. Rock cover to the area was completed at the end of the day.
