Welcome to Irvine

This beautiful city is located in Orange County and offers stunning views of nearby Loma Ridge and surrounding picturesque expanses of protected open space. Highlights include:

  • The Pretend City Children's Museum. This learning museum combines 17 interactive exhibits and activities to form a pretend city that includes a mini post office, bank, gas station, theater, farm, beach, and even a Trader Joe's. The trained professional staff guide children through activities designed to boost math, reading and science skills, all while encouraging a whole lot of fun. The museum also hosts workshops and regular events, including Mermaid Mondays, Water Safety Wednesdays, and Think Tank Thursdays.
  • The Irvine Museum. Devoted entirely to California art from the Impressionist Period (1890-1930), this museum celebrates the land, water and air of the gorgeous California landscape. Weekly docent tours are offered on Thursdays, and the museum's Educational Outreach Program encourages field trips for Orange County students second-grade and above.

If you'd like a more encompassing overview of Irvine, then stop by the Orange County Great Park where the Great Park Balloon will lift you 400 feet above ground for a 40-mile view.
