Communications Hill - San Jose, CA Update

As part of KB Home’s ongoing partnership with the City of San Jose, data from the eleven on site air monitors recorded seven exceedances of the Bay Area Air Quality Management District guidelines during the week of December 8, 2025.
December 8: An exceedance occurred at station 5, likely due to grading and excavation operations that occurred upwind of and near this station. Contractors were made aware of the exceedance and increased watering was implemented throughout the site.
December 9: An exceedance occurred at station 4, likely due to grading and excavation operations that occurred upwind of and near this station. Contractors were made aware of the exceedance and increased watering was implemented throughout the site.
December 10: Exceedances occurred at stations 1, 4, and 5, likely due to grading and excavation operations occurred upwind of and near these stations. Contractors were made aware of the exceedances and increased water watering and a slower pace of work was implemented throughout the site.
December 11: Exceedances occurred at stations 4 and 5, likely due to grading and excavation operations occurred upwind of and near these stations. Contractors were made aware of the exceedances and additional water trucks have been dedicated to the area.
