As part of KB Home’s ongoing partnership with the City of San Jose, data from the eleven on site air monitors recorded three exceedances of the Bay Area Air Quality Management District guidelines during the week of October 20, 2025.
October 20: Exceedances occurred at stations 2 and 5. The exceedance at station 2 was likely due to background levels from spaces upwind of the project site. The exceedance at station 5 had contractors in the street near the station. They were informed of the concern and additional water was added. Limited earth disturbance occurred in the middle of the site and had continuous water applied for the duration of the activity.
October 21: An exceedance occurred at station 5. Contractors in the area were informed of the concern and additional water was added. Limited earth disturbance occurred at the site and had continuous water applied throughout the site.
