As part of KB Home’s ongoing partnership with the City of San Jose, data from the eleven on site air monitors recorded six exceedances of the Bay Area Air Quality Management District guidelines during the week of September 22, 2025.
September 22: Exceedances occurred at stations 3 and 8, likely due to grading operations and traffic occurring upwind of and near these stations. Contractors were made aware of the exceedances and additional water was added throughout these areas with water additives. The re-rocking of the parking lot was completed.
September 23: Exceedances occurred at stations 4 and 5, likely due to grading operations and traffic occurring upwind of these stations. Contractors were made aware of the exceedances and additional water trucks were added and slower work practices were implemented.
September 24: Exceedances occurred at stations 5 and 6, likely due to grading operations and traffic occurring upwind of these stations. Contractors were made aware of the exceedances and additional water trucks were added and slower work practices were implemented.
