As part of KB Home’s ongoing partnership with the City of San Jose, data from the eleven on site air monitors recorded eleven exceedances of the Bay Area Air Quality Management District guidelines during the week of September 15, 2025.
September 15: Exceedances occurred at stations 5 and 8, likely due to grading operations and traffic occurring upwind of and near these stations. Contractors were made aware of the exceedances and additional water trucks with water additives were assigned to these areas.
September 16: Exceedances occurred at stations 4, 5 and 8, likely due to grading operations and traffic occurring upwind of and near these stations. Contractors were made aware of the exceedances and additional water trucks containing water additives were assigned to the areas. Additionally, new base rock installation in the parking lot near station 8 started.
September 17: Exceedances occurred at stations 5, 8 and 11, likely due to grading operations and traffic occurring upwind of and near these stations. Contractors were made aware of the exceedances and additional water trucks with water additives were assigned to these areas. Additionally, new base rock installation continued near station 8.
September 18: Exceedances occurred at stations 5 and 10, likely due to grading operations occurring upwind of and near these stations. Contractors were made aware of the exceedances and additional water trucks with water additives were assigned to these areas. Additionally, new base rock installation continued near station 8.
September 19: An exceedance occurred at station 8, likely due to construction traffic and installation of parking lot base rock occurring upwind of and near this station. Contractors were made aware of the exceedances and additional water trucks, with water additives were assigned to this area. New base rock installation continued near station 8.
