As part of KB Home’s ongoing partnership with the City of San Jose, data from the eleven on site air monitors recorded five exceedances of the Bay Area Air Quality Management District guidelines during the week of September 1, 2025.
September 2: Exceedances occurred at stations 4, and 11, likely due to excavation operations occurring upwind of and near station 4 and wind over the hillsides near station 11. Contractors were made aware of the exceedances and additional water trucks were added throughout these areas with water additives.
September 4: Exceedances occurred at stations 4, 7 and 8, likely due to grading operations and traffic occurring upwind of and near these stations. Contractors were made aware of the exceedances and additional water trucks were added throughout these areas with water additives as well as additional rock was applied to the parking area near station 8.
