As part of KB Home’s ongoing partnership with the City of San Jose, data from the eleven on site air monitors recorded five exceedances of the Bay Area Air Quality Management District guidelines during the week of August 11, 2025.
August 11: Exceedances occurred at stations 2, 4, 7 and 11, likely due to elevated temperatures, gusty winds, and grading operations near and upwind of the stations. Contractors were made the aware of the exceedances and additional hydro mulch and water was added.
August 15: An exceedance occurred at station 4, likely due to excavation operations upwind and near the station. Contractors were made aware of the exceedance and slower work practices, and consistent watering was implemented.
