As part of KB Home’s ongoing partnership with the City of San Jose, data from the eleven on site air monitors recorded eight exceedances of the Bay Area Air Quality Management District guidelines during the week of August 4, 2025.
August 5: An exceedance occurred at station 2, likely due to high winds and temperatures and grading operations upwind and near the station. Contractors were made aware of the exceedance and slower work practices were initiated and consistent watering was added.
August 6: Exceedances occurred at stations 5, 6 and 11, likely due to elevated temperatures and winds over hillsides as well as grading operations near and upwind of stations. Contractors were made the aware of the exceedances and more frequent and consistent watering was added.
August 7: Exceedances occurred at stations 6 and 11, likely due to elevated temperatures and winds over hillsides as well as excavation operations near and upwind of stations. Contractors were made the aware of the exceedances and more frequent and consistent watering was added.
August 8: Exceedances occurred at stations 4 and 11, likely due to elevated temperatures and winds over hillsides as well as excavation operations near and upwind of stations. Contractors were made the aware of the exceedances and more frequent and consistent watering was added.
