As part of KB Home’s ongoing partnership with the City of San Jose, data from the eleven on site air monitors recorded four exceedances of the Bay Area Air Quality Management District guidelines during the week of July 28, 2025.
July 28: An exceedance occurred at station 4, likely due to high winds and temperatures. Contractors were made aware of the exceedance and slower work practices and consistent watering were initiated. Additionally, work was stopped due to elevated winds at 2:00 pm.
July 29: An exceedance occurred at station 5, likely due to high winds, temperatures and traffic near and upwind of the station. Contractors were made aware of the exceedance and additional watering was added. Slower work practices are in place and crews stopped due to elevated winds at 3:30 pm.
July 31: Exceedances occurred at stations 4 and 9, likely due to high winds over hillsides, elevated temperatures and excavation operations near and upwind of stations. Contractors were made the aware of the exceedances and more frequent and consistent watering was added.
