As part of KB Home’s ongoing partnership with the City of San Jose, data from the eleven on site air monitors recorded eleven exceedances of the Bay Area Air Quality Management District guidelines during the week of July 21, 2025.

 

July 21: An exceedance occurred at station 4, likely due to grading operations occurring upwind of the station. Contractors were made aware of the exceedance and slower work practices were initiated as well as additional watering. Hydroseeding slopes is ongoing.

 

July 22: Exceedances occurred at stations 2, 4, and 5, likely, due to grading operations occurring near stations 2 and 4 and elevated winds over the hillsides near station 5. Contractors were made aware of the exceedances and more frequent and consistent watering was added. Hydroseeding slopes is ongoing.

 

July 23: Exceedances occurred at stations 4 and 6, likely due to elevated winds over the hillsides and the application of hydromulch used for dust suppression. Contractors were made the aware of the exceedances and more frequent and consistent watering was added. Hydroseeding slopes is ongoing.

 

July 24: Exceedances occurred at stations 4 and 6, likely due to elevated winds over the hillsides and the application of hydromulch used for dust suppression. Contractors were made the aware of the exceedances and more frequent and consistent watering was added. Hydroseeding slopes is ongoing.

 

July 25: Exceedances occurred at stations 2, 5, and 11, likely due to grading operations occurring near station 2 and elevated winds over the hillsides near stations 5 and 11. Contractors were made aware of the exceedances and more frequent and consistent watering was added. Hydroseeding slopes is ongoing.

 

Please note: Projected completion of hydroseeding of slopes is 7/30/2025.
