As part of KB Home’s ongoing partnership with the City of San Jose, data from the eleven on site air monitors recorded twelve exceedances of the Bay Area Air Quality Management District guidelines during the week of June 30, 2025.
June 30: Exceedances occurred at stations 3, 4, 5, 10 and 11, likely due to grading operations occurring upwind of and near these stations as well as water resources being restricted. Contractors were made aware of the exceedances and mass grading operations stopped until the water resource was reinstated.
July 1: Exceedances occurred at stations 3, and 4, likely due to finishing building pads and trenching operations that occurring upwind of and near these stations. Contractors were made aware of the exceedances and additional water was added. Fabric installation started on exposed soil in the area.
July 2: Exceedances occurred at stations 3, 4, and 5, likely due to finishing building pads and trenching operations occurring upwind of and near these stations. Contractors were made aware of the exceedances and additional water was added. Fabric installation continued on the exposed soil in the area.
July 3: Exceedances occurred at stations 4 and 5, likely due to grading operations occurring upwind of and near these stations. Contractors were made aware of the exceedances and additional water trucks with additives were added to these areas. Fabric installation continued on the exposed soil in the area.
