As part of KB Home’s ongoing partnership with the City of San Jose, data from the eleven on site air monitors recorded six exceedances of the Bay Area Air Quality Management District guidelines during the week of June 9, 2025.
June 9: Exceedances occurred at stations 3, 4 and 5, likely due to grading operations occurring upwind of and near these stations. All contractors were made aware of the exceedances and additional water trucks were added throughout these areas with water additives.
June 10: An exceedance occurred at station 5, likely due to grading operations occurring near and upwind of this station. Grading and dust control contractors were made aware of the exceedance and additional water was added around grading operations on the disturbed hillsides that are difficult to water regularly.
June 11: An exceedance occurred at station 5, likely due to grading operations occurring near and upwind of this station. Grading and dust control contractors were made aware of the exceedance and additional water was added around grading operations and on the disturbed hillsides.
June 12: An exceedance occurred at station 7, likely due to elevated wind over undisturbed hillsides. No grading operations occurred near the station at the time of the exceedance.
