As part of KB Home’s ongoing partnership with the City of San Jose, data from the eleven on site air monitors recorded four exceedances of the Bay Area Air Quality Management District guidelines during the week of May 12, 2025.
May 12: An exceedance occurred at station 10, likely due to high winds over hard to water hillsides upwind of this station. Contractors were made aware of the exceedance and additional water and hydro mulch was added to the area.
May 13: An exceedance occurred at station 5 and at station 10, likely due to wind over hillsides and grading and utility operations occurring near and upwind of the stations. All contractors were made aware of the exceedances and additional water and street sweeping has been added to the area. Additionally, access points to difficult to reach areas near station 10 were also installed.
May 15: An exceedance occurred at stations 5, likely due to grading and utility operations occurring near the station. All contractors were made aware of the exceedance and additional water and street sweeping was added to the area. Additionally, production work has been reduced.
