As part of KB Home’s ongoing partnership with the City of San Jose, data from the eleven on site air monitors recorded three exceedances of the Bay Area Air Quality Management District guidelines during the week of April 28, 2025.

 

April 29: An exceedance occurred at station 7, likely due to dry hillsides upwind of this station. Dust Control contractors were made aware of the exceedance and additional water was added. Hydroseeding has been scheduled for the area.

 

May 2: Two exceedances occurred, one at station 5 due to traffic and one at station 11 due to inaccessible dry hillsides upwind of this station. Grading and Dust Control contractors were made aware of the exceedances and additional water was added around station 5 and throughout the site. New roads were cut near station 11 to provide access to the upwind dry hillsides and allow water trucks treat the area. Additionally, water additives were added to the dust control water trucks throughout.
