As part of KB Home’s ongoing partnership with the City of San Jose, data from the eleven on site air monitors recorded five exceedances of the Bay Area Air Quality Management District guidelines during the week of April 21, 2025.
April 23: Exceedances occurred at stations 10 and 11, likely due to traffic, weed abatement and grading operations occurring upwind of this station. Contractors were made aware of the exceedances and extra water was added and slower work practices were initiated throughout the site and around grading operations.
April 24: Exceedances occurred at stations 5 and 10, likely due to traffic, weed abatement and grading operations occurring near and upwind of these stations. Grading contractors were made aware of the exceedances and extra water was added throughout the site and and around grading operations. Additionally, water additives were included to the dust control water trucks throughout.
April 25: An exceedance occurred at station 11, likely due to traffic and dry hillsides that are difficult to water near and upwind of the station. Dust Control contractors were made aware of the exceedance and extra water was added throughout the site and specifically these hillsides. Additionally, water additives were included to the dust control water trucks throughout.
