As part of KB Home’s ongoing partnership with the City of San Jose, data from the eleven on site air monitors recorded four exceedances of the Bay Area Air Quality Management District guidelines during the week of April 7, 2025.
April 8: Exceedances occurred at stations 7 and 11, likely due to traffic and grading operations occurring near and upwind of and near these stations. Grading contractors were made aware of the exceedances and additional water was added throughout the site and around grading operations. Additionally, water additives were inserted to the dust control water trucks throughout.
April 9: An exceedance occurred at station 5 likely due to grading operations occurring near and upwind of the station. Contractors were made aware of the exceedance and additional water was added and slower work practices were initiated throughout the site and around grading operations.
April 11: An exceedance occurred at station 5, likely due to traffic and grading operations occurring upwind of the station. Contractors were made aware of the exceedance and additional water was added and slower work practices were initiated throughout the site and around grading operations.
