As part of KB Home’s ongoing partnership with the City of San Jose, data from the eleven on site air monitors recorded seven exceedances of the Bay Area Air Quality Management District guidelines during the week of February 17, 2025.
February 24: One exceedance occurred at station 11 likely due to grading operations occurring upwind of this station. Grading contractors were made aware of the exceedance and additional water was added throughout this part of the site and ad around grading operations.
February 26: Exceedances occurred at the following stations, 5, 8, 9 and 10 and 11, likely due to grading activities near and upwind of the stations. Grading contractors were made aware of the exceedance and additional water and slower work practices were utilized throughout accessible parts of the site.
February 27: One exceedance occurred at station 5 likely due to grading operations occurring near this station. Grading contractors were made aware of the exceedance. Operation cycle time/speed has been reduced and two pieces of grading equipment were replaced with additional water trucks and water pulls.
