Built for Veterans. Built because KB Cares.

KB Home partners with NFL legend Jared Allen to build homes for Wounded Warriors as part of the Jared Allen’s Homes for Wounded Warriors Foundation.

About the Family

The recipient of this home will be the Hines Family-Reese and Kyle Hines. Daniel “Reese” Hines is a U.S. Air Force MSgt. who was deployed in Kandahar Afghanistan when an IED detonated and roughly 20 pounds of explosives activated less than 2 feet away from him, sustaining injuries to both his eyes and right arm. Also, Kyle Hines is a U.S. Air Force Veteran who was stationed in Basra, Iraq in 2009, where she sustained a permanent traumatic brain injury and was later diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder. Reese is a recipient of the Purple Heart. The Hines Family will be moving to San Antonio to be closer to the superb medical facilities available for soldiers facing a variety of post-combat injuries.

About the Foundation

Jared Allen’s Homes for Wounded Warriors was formed in October of 2009 by retired Minnesota Vikings defensive end Jared Allen. after he returned home from his USO trip to US Military Bases in the Middle East. Jared was moved by the commitment, dedication, and sacrifices that our soldiers make every day to protect our freedom. He wanted to say thank you to every soldier in the only way that Jared knows how and formed the Jared Allen Homes for Wounded Warriors foundation. JAH4WW’s mission is to raise money to build and remodel injury-specific, accessible and mortgage-free homes for our critically injured United States Military Veterans returning home from Iraq and Afghanistan.
