KB Home partners with Jared Allen’s Homes for Wounded Warriors and builds a personalized home for a deserving U.S. Air Force veteran family.

Built on a Foundation of Love and Support

Thanks to our partnership with Jared Allen’s Homes for Wounded Warriors, Reese and Kyle Hines have received the keys to their new mortgage-free, personalized home.

About the Family

Our first recipient of a KB home, through our partnership with JAH4WW, will be Reese and Kyle Hines. Daniel “Reese” Hines is a U.S. Air Force MSgt. (Ret) and decorated Purple Heart recipient. While deployed in Kandahar, Afghanistan in 2011, an IED remotely detonated sending 20 pounds of explosive material toward Reese, causing life-threatening injuries to his face and right side of his body. Kyle Hines is a U.S. Air Force MSgt. (Ret), and in 2009 she sustained a permanent traumatic brain injury while stationed in Basra, Iraq. Later she was diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder. The Hines Family will move from Alaska to San Antonio to be closer to the excellent medical facilities available for veterans and soldiers facing a variety of post-combat injuries.

About the Foundation

Jared Allen's Homes for Wounded Warriors was founded in October 2009 by retired Minnesota Vikings defensive end Jared Allen after he returned home from his USO trip to US military bases in the Middle East. Jared was so moved by the commitment, dedication, and sacrifices that our soldiers make every day to protect our freedom, he wanted to thank them in a profound, life-changing way, and formed the Jared Allen Homes for Wounded Warriors Foundation. JAH4WW's mission is to raise money to build and remodel injury-specific, accessible and mortgage-free homes for our critically injured United States military veterans returning home from Iraq and Afghanistan.
