If you think #Florida is all about theme parks and frying on the #beaches, you probably haven’t been to #StAugustine. In the oldest, continuously occupied European settlement in North America, visitors get the glorious beaches along with a healthy dose of unexpected delights: Spanish colonial and Moorish-style #architecture, interesting museums and history galore. At the St. Augustine #Alligator Farm Zoological Park (@staugalligatorfarm), which claims to be the only one that features all 24 crocodilian species, visitors can take a zip line over a lagoon habitat and see an extraordinary array of exotic birds, reptiles and mammals. Adventures for the Whole Family
And if you’d rather explore something a little off the beaten path? The St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park®, opened in 1893, highlights crocodiles, birds and reptiles, and includes a zip-line attraction. You’ll also find Ponce de Leon’s Fountain of Youth Archaeological Park, which marks the waterfront spot first explored by Juan Ponce de Leon in 1513 and features great exhibits and shows. All of this fun is only 20 minutes away from what could be your new home: the Treaty Oaks community in St. Augustine, Fla.
