June and July yielded promising water savings; but we still need your help to reach the 10% water use reduction goal in 2008
Folsom Lake - Summer 2008 Thank you for heeding the call to reduce water use this summer. Your efforts reduced water use in June and July by more than the 10 percent requested. However, because dry spring conditions increased our consumption before the May request, we need to ask you to continue those efforts until we move into what we hope will be a healthy rainy season.

New online billpay computer available in Civic Center
Utility customers can now use a new online billpay computer, located in the Civic Center rotunda, to view and pay their utility bills online. This new service allows customers to pay online instead of waiting in line at the counter. The computer is for online billpay use only, so customers will not be able to access any other websites or programs.

Roseville Transit trip planner now available
News Image Now planning a transit trip within Roseville or to Sacramento is a lot easier. Check out the Google Maps Trip Planner service now available on the Roseville Transit page of the city website. Simply enter the "start" and "end" addresses and find out the best way to use Roseville Transit around town.

City of Roseville announces new drop-off locations for "sharps"
Starting September 1, state law prohibits “sharps” from being disposed of in refuse bins. Today, the City of Roseville’s Environmental Utilities Department announced two new drop-off sites for used syringes and lancets, known as “sharps,” now available to Placer County residents. “Sharps” are commonly used at home for people with medical conditions such as diabetes.   Starting September 1, state law prohibits “sharps” from being disposed of in refuse bins.

Roseville refuse truck drivers help police fight crime with Drivers on Patrol Program
Drivers on Patrol Program Today, the City of Roseville’s Environmental Utilities Department announced the official launch of its Drivers on Patrol Program, in cooperation with Roseville Police Department, to help keep Roseville’s neighborhoods safe by maintaining a watchful eye for suspicious activity in the neighborhoods they serve.
