City Hall Tree Lighting Ceremony
The City Hall Tree Lighting Ceremony has become a wonderful tradition and a great way to begin the holiday season!!! Come join us on Tuesday, December 2nd from 5:30 – 7 p.m. in the front parking lot of City Hall to welcome in the season. The event is free and provides a chance to enjoy entertainment and excitement as the giant pines are lit in front of City Hall by Mayor Leslie McBride. After the Ceremony, there are free cookies and cider for those in attendance. Santa will also make an appearance and hand out candy canes to the children!!

- Mayor Leslie McBride Lighting the Giant Pine
- Free Cookies and Warm Apple Cider
- And of course Santa Claus!

Where Friends and Family Gather
The Christmas Stroll is a unique holiday experience, strolling up and down Plumas Street while shopping for that special gift for that special someone. Santa will be downtown awaiting to hear your wish list and get that memorable photo of you and Santa. Arts and crafts vendors, food vendors, cookie competition and new this year a Ginger Bread House Competition sponsored at Sutter Community Bank. This is a free event, come downtown and share the spirit of the holidays!  View more.

To celebrate, the city, as well as various service organizations and businesses will be hosting events throughout late 2007 and into 2008.
