Wonderland Month!
Welcome to our winter wonderland!
A brand new monthly theme. Throw on a parka
and some mittens because this December we're
celebrating the coolest of seasons! The wonder of
snow, polar bears, frosty paint, igloos and more. Brrrr!
10 a.m. ToddlerTime, Polar Bear Pals - Mondays and Wednesdays at 10 a.m.
Come learn all about our arctic friends of the north, the
polar bears! Learn how polar bears keep warm in their
winter wonderland environment! This program enhances
science, literacy, fine motor and speech skills.
11:30 a.m. StoryTime -
Monday - Friday at 11:30 a.m.
Saturdays and Sundays at Noon
Explore faraway lands, hear wacky tales
and share some giggles at our next StoryTime. Each one
has a theme with stories and fun activities.
1:30 p.m. Backyard Explorers, Icy Igloos - Wednesdays at 1:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 3 p.m.
How are igloos able to keep us warm in the winter? Learn
how igloos are made and the importance they have
played in Innuit culture. Build your own igloo craft to take
home. This program promotes gross motor, fine motor,
cognitive, math, science and cultural awareness skills.
2:30 p.m. Clubhouse Capers, The First Day of Winter - Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 2:30 p.m.
Explore the science and cultural significance of the winter
solstice around the world. We'll take an imaginary journey
to Persia (now Iran), Peru, Sweden, and many other lands
to learn how people celebrate the longest night of the
year. Make your own winter solstice craft to take home.
This program promotes cultural awareness, fine motor
skills and arts.
