Stop by the Smithsonian-affiliated Museum of Arts & Sciences in Daytona Beach and be enthralled by the Classical World. On loan from the Tampa Museum of Art through August 2009, this exhibition allows visitors the chance to experience the spirit of ancient Greece. Classical World features more than 200 Greek and Roman antiquities and is considered the finest collection of its kind in the southeastern United States.

Daytona Beach: Way More Summer Fun
Our beaches are consistently named among Florida's best by the state's most knowledgeable 'beachologists' - its residents. Over the years, readers of Florida Monthly magazine have regularly named our beaches the state's best. Most recently, renowned beach expert, Dr. Stephen P. Leatherman (a.k.a. Dr. Beach) named Lighthouse Point Park, located at the southernmost tip of the Daytona Beach area in Ponce Inlet, to his top 10 list of America's best beaches.
The Boards &Waves Expo, slated for July 12-13 at the newly-remodeled Daytona Beach Resort & Conference Center, is a two-day surf expo for consumers. The event features surfboard shaping demonstrations, surf videos and music, surfboard painting, a vintage surfboard collection and more. Entry is $5 per day, with kids under 12 admitted free.
