 GPS Governing Board Appoints New Superintendent
The GPS Governing Board unanimously voted to appoint Dr. Dave Allison as new Superintendent for Gilbert Public Schools for the 2008-2009 school year. Dr. Allison has served the district for more than 15 years in leadership roles including most recently Associate Superintendent.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
There will be a Public Hearing on July 8, 2008 at 8:00 a.m. in the Educational Complex Building, 140 S. Gilbert Road, Gilbert, Arizona.
At this meeting, the Governing Board of Gilbert Unified School District No. 41 will present a summary of the 2008–2009 school District proposed budget for the consideration of the residents and taxpayers of the District in accordance with ARS 15-905.C.
Following this Public Hearing, there will be a Regular Board Meeting, in this same location, at which time the budget will be adopted.

Summer Hours Begin June 2 - July 24, 2008
District Offices will be closed Thursday, July 3rd and Friday, July 4th.
District Office Summer Hours - Monday - Thursday: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM - Friday: Offices Closed
Registration for the 2008-2009 School Year
Elementary and Junior High School: Registration locations during the summer will be Highland Park Elementary and Gilbert Elementary beginning June 30 through July 17th from 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM.
High School Registration: High Schools will be open throughout the summer for registration.
