A.It's where you'll really see the Built to Order™ difference. Think of the KB Home Studio as a retail superstore of countless personalizing choices for your home. The options that will help you personalize your home to look the way you want. If you’d like help selecting the options that will bring your dream to life, a trained interior design expert will be available to provide advice. You'll shop around and tell us which features are most important to you, and we'll help you create a Built to Order home.
A.You'll find quality, trusted national brands like Shaw, Armstrong, Sherwin-Williams, Moen Faucet, Whirlpool, and KitchenAid.
A.A huge selection of name-brand flooring, countertops, cabinets, lighting, appliances, window coverings, and more. Plus, Flex Space™ options* that allow you to modify your floor plan, technology choices like digital wiring, and great energy-conscious choices. It's everything you need to ensure your home is truly unique.
*Flex Space™ may not be available on all plans.
A.Your personal design consultant will guide you every step of the way. The consultant will give you a personal tour and help you define your vision of your Built to Order home, narrow your choices and stay within your budget.
A.You may come in and browse any time we’re open. In fact, we encourage you to come in often. However, we DO recommend appointments when working with your design consultant. When confirming your final Built to Order design selections (which usually takes 2–3 hours), you will need an appointment.
A.That's the true value of creating a Built to Order home. You pay only for what you choose to put into your home. Plus, prices include tax and installation. You don't pay the additional delivery or installation charges you may have with a retail store.
A.First, think about how you’ll live in each room. Walk mentally through each space and make a list of the details that will affect your lifestyle—including outlets, lighting, wiring for surround sound, and more. Next, collect pictures and samples that will help you and your design consultant define your style. You can bring anything from magazine clippings to fabric and paint swatches. Lastly, if you have children, you may want to arrange for a babysitter. Often, our homebuyers like to give their undivided attention to the final appointment, which can last up to several hours. We know that it is difficult for little ones to be so patient.
A.Every homebuyer's budget is different, and whatever you decide to spend on the design of your home, the consultant will work within that budget.
A.Yes. In most cases, your Built to Order design choices can be rolled into your mortgage so you get a one-of-a-kind home at a great monthly payment.
A.Yes. It's a terrific way to get a feel for what it means to create a Built to Order home. When comparing KB Home to other builders, you'll see that most other builders don't come close to the range of personalization and choice that comes with owning a Built to Order home.
